Indycar Racing 2: Adding widescreen, video # 14

Lots of changes. The horizontal aspect ration here is a little squished. It will be fixed. I've resorted to mirroring hacker's tricks by directly messing with the scaling (asymmetrically) instead of adding a camera offset. The reason I avoided this was because of the fish-eye effect at 32:9 but Second Wind also seems to suffer from this, so I'm giving myself a pass. Also pulled another trick out of hacker's book and increased the viewport size to 1600x1200. Previously the game internally rendered at 640x480 which was then upscaled by RReady. Now the game's internal resolution is always 1600x1200 which is then upscaled to the monitor resolution. 640x480 (sort of) and 1600x1200 are 4:3 resolutions, hence the anamorphic widescreen. The squarish image contains a widescreen image which needs to be stretched. Sprite scaling is a bit of a problem as is the cockpit view but it will be fixed. At some point I'd like to do an alpha release. Not sure if anyone's still using the Rendition version of the game, but I'll post the build on icr2.net and vogons when it's ready. This will need a patched version of the game, which will be available soonish. (The Long Beach 2000 track is demoed here). Not made much progress with CGL, but it's coming too!
