Indycar Racing 2: Adding widescreen, video # 16 (16:9, Rendition Ready: Reno)

Fixed the performance issue with the HUD display. I don't know why there's popping in the audio. The garage and replays render correctly and the Australia and Reno tracks are shown. Surfers' is an old demo track of mine, I have lots and lots of videos on this built-in track. The Reno Hilton track is shown here, because I couldn't dol justice to it before. My fix for the HUD performance can now cause the cockpit view to disappear! AArgh! Work on the cockpit continues for the other aspect ratios and palette cycling (using a PCX based image) depending on the carset. Tjerk from icr2.net has asked me to make the files external and support custom cockpit views which work in 4:3 ICR2Rend but no the widescreen versions. Custom cockpits will come later, but the palette cycling is a bit critrical. Driving around i a blue car shouldn't look red from the inside. (Update: June 05, 2026: ******************************************** RReady ICR2 Widescreen (16:9 only) Alpha Test Release (June 05, 20206) ******************************************** This is a highly unstable and untested alpha release released for feedback. To run ICR2 in 16:9 widescreen, two things are needed: https://nirvtek.com/downloads/RReady.... MD5: 758dfc33a699f728faddc9ddb3749881 and a patched version of ICR2 (available in indycar and car flavours) from here: https://nirvtek.com/downloads/ICR2.Wi... MD5: cb259749e20003e9adace6696ca2bdad In Rendition settings: 1) Monitor aspect ratio needs to be set to match your monitor and the game aspect must be 16:9. 2) The ICR2 widescreen option needs to be ticked Limitations: Currently only 16:9 is supported [This will be fixed soon] Cockpit colours won't change with the selected car and will be wrong if your car isn't red. [This will be fixed soon]. Cockpit PCX files are supplied externally, how ever this release uses an internally embedded image. Cockpit/HUD may continue to linger when switching cameras between views. Cockpit/HUD may randomly disappear. There may be stability issues. The aspect ratio might be a little wonky. This will only work in dosbox-rendition. Support for Dosbox-staging-rendition will come in a future release. Very early support for CGL (Toshinden only, with rendering defects in FIFO mode and with logging) is possible with this driver with dosbox-rendition. Dosbox-staging-rendition has partially broken support for this: https://nirvtek.com/downloads/RReady.... MD5: e426524aef509a71b9bccb0ff95739f8 All the existing CGL files needs to be backed up and removed to another folder and this driver needs to b placed in there. ********************************************)
