Delhi to Phugtal Monastery 2026 | Day 2 Reached Gonbo Rangjon via Shinkula pass | | Road trip

Recently I Completed Delhi to Phugtal Monastery Trip Welcome to Episode 2 of the Phugtal Series! 🌄 Day 2 of our Zanskar journey starts from the beautiful Sissu Waterfall, where we woke up after spending the night in our car 🚗💤. Surrounded by massive mountains, this waterfall is one of the most stunning attractions in Lahaul Valley 🌊🏔️ 🛣️ From there, we continued toward the mighty Shinku La Pass (16,580 ft), a high-altitude mountain pass connecting Himachal to Zanskar. Known for rough roads, snow walls ❄️, and jaw-dropping Himalayan views, this stretch was pure adventure! ⛰️ Our final destination for day 2 was the legendary Gonbo Rangjon, a sacred mountain standing at 18,000+ ft, often called the “Matterhorn of Zanskar” because of its dramatic pyramid shape 🔺. For locals and Buddhist pilgrims 🙏, this mountain holds deep spiritual significance. 🔥 Day 2 was packed with off-roading, crazy landscapes, and some of the most unreal views of the Himalayas.
