🖐Birth Course - https://pearently.com/work-with-me/ types of labor contractions: pre-labor (prodromal labor/false labor), early labor, and active labor - online birth course below ►► Birth Course | Training first-time moms to overcome the pain of labor and give birth without an epidural - http://Pearently.com What is labor? What are the different kinds of contractions you might feel during your pregnancy? 1. Braxton-Hicks -Feel like: tightening in all of the abdomen, especially top to bottom that goes away. The tightening might be a little uncomfortable, but not painful. These contractions do not have a regular pattern, don’t get closer together, and will usually taper off over time. There are things that can trigger BH: dehydration, certain positions, and exercise. Empty your bladder, drink water, change positions, and rest. Call your doctor if you are bleeding, have fluid leaking, or feel like this is true labor. 2. Pre-labor (Prodromal Labor/False Labor) begins like true labor but does not progress to the birth of your baby because the cervix doesn’t change. The contractions aren't all stronger, longer, AND closer together. 3. Early Labor - you really are in labor, but your body is getting into the labor groove. Your contractions are real, but they might be mild and happen in an irregular pattern at first. To promote comfort during early labor...walk, take a shower or bath with relaxing music, practice breathing and relaxation techniques, and change positions frequently mixed with rest. 4. Active Labor - your contractions should be less than 5 minutes apart with increasing pain for at least 1 hour. This is when you can head to the hospital. These contractions are intense, you might feel nauseated and have cramping in your legs. To try to get comfortable in this stage of labor is difficult: change positions, use a birthing ball, take a warm shower or bath, walk, breathe through contractions, ask your birth coach for a massage... ------ Pearently | A birth you will love to remember - http://Pearently.com Disclaimer: Please discuss any healthcare information found on this channel with your healthcare provider.
