Unlike man-made bridges, this unique wonder is grown over decades using the roots of rubber trees by the indigenous Khasi community. These roots are carefully guided and shaped across streams until they become strong enough to support the weight of people — a perfect example of sustainable and eco-friendly engineering. What makes the Double Decker bridge even more fascinating is its two-level structure, making it extremely rare and one of a kind in the world. Surrounded by dense greenery, waterfalls, and the soothing sound of flowing water, this place feels nothing short of magical.
