Vintage Queen Knife Surgery – Broken Backspring & Blade Rehab!

Today I’m bringing a vintage Queen Hawkbill knife back from the edge—literally. After a full inspection (what I call a “Knife Doctor physical”), I discovered: A broken backspring pin A loose or worn blade pivot A blade that needs a new edge and a sharper point This knife may have been down, but it’s not out—not on my bench. 🛠️ Watch as I tear it down, rebuild it pin by pin, and give this old cutter a new lease on life. This is the kind of job that takes patience, precision, and a little grit—but that’s the mission here: Saving Lives of Old Knives. If you’ve ever carried a Queen knife or worked on one yourself, let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear your stories. Stay sharp, —Kevin The Knife Doctor
