1070 - Olomouc, Czechia: Trams and buses around Olomouc on Wednesday 6th May 2026

Welcome to Podbaba Transport Video 1070. On Wednesday 6th May 2026, we visited the city of Olomouc in the eastern province of Moravia, Czechia. It is often described as the "secret baroque gem of the Czech Republic". We have been filming trams and buses in Olomouc for a number of years and we filmed the entire tram fleet, including the latest batch of Pragoimex EVO1/o trams - 127 to 133. Filming the whole fleet was made possible by our two very good friends at Dopravní podnik města Olomouce, a.s. (dpmo ) -the transport operator for the city - Ing. Anna Sýkorová and Ing. Marek Talpa who, as always, treated us like royalty. We had only 3 of the bus fleet left to film and, on the day, we saw and filmed all three. At the main depot, Marek produced a very high quality drone and filmed some footage around the depot and we have included his photographs in this presentation. Before leaving Prague, on the first Regiojet train to Olomouc, we filmed the historic part of Prague's main station which is hidden behind the brutalist architecture of the concrete and glass "modern" concourse.
