542 - Olomouc, Czechia: dpmo 125th Anniversary celebrations on Wednesday 8th May 2024

On Wednesday 8th May 2024, we returned to Olomouc for dpmo's 125th anniversary celebrations and what a day it was! Both depots were open and much activity was taking place at both locations. At the main tram depot, trams were arranged on the depot fan and a selection of buses was on display too, including electric bus 501 and one of the pair of 8.6m midibuses - 552. Much hard work must have gone into this special day and it was evident by the large number of visitors to both depots that the people of Olomouc quite rightly have huge amounts of pride in their public transport company. The vintage tram and trailer set (223+99) was providing circular tours from Hlavni nadrazi and the vintage Skoda bus (247) was also giving rides.
