I Refurbished This PS5 Before It Went to a New Owner | PTM7950 Upgrade

In this video, I’m preparing this PlayStation 5 for its new owner by giving it a complete refurbishment before it leaves my workshop. This is *not a repair video* — the console was fully functional. Instead, this was a preventive maintenance service to make sure the PS5 was properly cleaned, serviced, and ready for many more hours of gaming. During this refurbishment I: Completely disassemble the PS5 Remove and properly clean the original liquid metal from the APU and heatsink Explain what PTM7950 is and how this phase-change thermal material works Replace the original liquid metal with PTM7950 Replace a damaged cooling fan with a new one Clean the internal components and cooling system Restore the console back to factory defaults for the new owner Liquid metal offers excellent thermal performance, but it requires careful handling because it is electrically conductive and can be challenging to service. PTM7950 provides an interesting alternative with easier installation, long-term stability, and no risk of electrical shorts during future maintenance.
