This Lemon Caper Sauce Makes Pork Chops Incredible!
Looking for a delicious pork chop recipe? These pan-seared pork chops with lemon caper sauce are juicy, flavorful, and quick to make. Ingredients (Pork chops) 1-2 Bone in pork chops salt, pepper and dried thyme (to taste) 1 Tbsp of Olive oil 1.5 Tbsp of butter 1 Tsp of flour 3 Cloves of garlic (minced) 1 shallot (diced) 1 lemon (zested & juiced) 1 Tbsp Capers (drained) 3/4 Cup of chicken stock 1/2 Cup of white wine Instructions: 1. Take the pork chops out of the oven and pat dry with paper towel. 2. Drizzle a small amount of oil on each side of the pork chop and season with salt, pepper and dried thyme. 3. Heat a pan to medium high and sear each for 3-4 mins or until the pork chop is golden brown on each side. 4. Place the pork chops in the oven and cook at 400 degrees for 5-6 mins or until the pork chop reaches an internal temp of 145 degrees 5. Let the pork chop rest for 5 - 10 mins while you make the sauce. 6. Zest 1 lemon and set aside, juice half of a lemon. dice up half of a shallot, mince three cloves of garlic and finely chop a handful of parsley. 7. Drain the fat from the pan you cooked the pork chop in and add in 1 Tbsp of butter over medium heat. 8. Add the diced shallot and garlic and cook for 1-2 mins. 9. Mix in 1 Tsp of flour and cook for another 1- 2 minutes. 10. Mix in 3/4 of a cup of chicken stock and 1/2 a cup of white wine. 11. Turn the temperature up to high until the sauce reaches a boil then turn down the temp to medium high until the sauce reduces by half. . 12. Add in the capers, lemon juice, parsley and lemon zest and simmer for two minutes. 13. Add 1 Tsp of cold butter and shake the pan until the butter melts and the sauce is silky. 14.
