I filmed the entire flight from the homestead to Palmer the other day. Its a long flight, but if you are interested, or need some mellow slow TV to watch, check it out. The takeoff on skis and the first 20 minutes are the most interesting. It will take a bored aviation nerd to watch the whole thing. Climb up to a cruising altitude of 10,000' and see the whole Western Alaska Range. Average ground speed during the cruise is 118mph. Motor is a Continental o-470A. Sorry about the patch of ice on the windshield, it was well below my field of view, but right in front of the camera. It goes away about 20 minutes into the flight through the process of sublimation once I get to higher, drier altitude.
