We Rode our Motorcycle Through a Ski Slope on Mount Parnassus… to Reach the Acropolis in Time

We started the day 150 km from Athens, in Arkitsa — with just a few hours to make it back for our visit to the Acropolis. What was meant to be a quick ride turned into a real adventure. After cruising along the coastline, we headed inland towards Mount Parnassus. The ride up was incredible — until the asphalt suddenly ended near a ski resort high in the mountains. We had a choice: turn back… or take a risk. We chose the hard way. Riding down an abandoned service road along the ski slopes turned into a proper challenge — loose rocks, rough terrain, and no idea if the road would even go through. But it was worth it. On the other side, we were rewarded with stunning views and one of the best moments of the trip. We pushed on to Delphi, stopping briefly for a quick drone shot before racing back towards Athens. Along the way, we passed through vast areas destroyed by wildfires, some reaching as close as 30 km from the city. We made it back just in time — dropped our gear and headed straight to explore the Acropolis. One intense day. One unforgettable ride. 📍 Arkitsa → Mount Parnassus → Delphi → Athens 🏍 Triumph Tiger 1200 If you enjoy motorcycle travel and real adventure — you’re in the right place. ⏱ Chapters: 00:00 Intro 01:00 Departure 03:00 Small towns 04:00 First view of Mount Parnassus 06:00 Ride Montage 07:30 Reaching Summit + Drone Footage 08:40 Riding the slope 12:05 Back on asphalt 13:00 nice views and riding montage 15:00 Close to Delphi 16:20 Searching for parking 18:00 Drone Footage from Delphi 19:00 Explanation 20:50 Riding 24:40 Wildfires aftermath 26:00 Athens 26:45 Nice Traffic 28:00 Hotel and sightseeing
