Could this be one of the most beautiful mountain regions in Italy? After a short reset in Anzio, we are back on the road and heading inland — away from the coast, through Rome, and deep into the Apennines. This ride takes us into one of the most spectacular and underrated mountain regions in Italy: Gran Sasso. We explore Campo Imperatore, Campotosto and the vast open landscapes surrounding them — huge green plateaus, empty roads, quiet valleys and endless mountain views. It is exactly the kind of riding we love the most: wild, open, peaceful and far away from the usual tourist routes. After a full day in the mountains, we continue north toward the Terni area, where the next part of the journey begins — and where I have a surprise planned for Laura… although she still has no idea what is coming.
