It comes in two versions: the taller, leavened version, and the old Genoa version, which doesn't require leavening and is therefore much easier and quicker to make at home. In this video, I show you the second version: you'll be literally won over by the goodness, richness, and fragrance of this dessert! The recipe and preparation are by Aldo, my father, who for years has baked tons of pandolci in his pastry shop.
