Prime Minister Pledges to Equip Khartoum's Land Port with Modern Technology His Excellency Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris inspected the Khartoum land port this afternoon, accompanied by the Governor of Khartoum State, Mr. Ahmed Osman Hamza, and the Prime Minister's Advisor, Nizar Abdullah Mohammed. His Excellency the Prime Minister and his delegation toured several halls of the land port that had been subjected to systematic and deliberate sabotage by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. His Excellency also inspected a passenger train departing from the land port to Wad Madani, the capital of Gezira State, observing the departure procedures and ensuring the well-being of the passengers. His Excellency the Prime Minister directed the National Roads and Bridges Authority to implement an electronic toll collection system and stressed the need to rehabilitate the four halls at the land port. He pledged to equip the port with all modern facilities, including electronic toll collection systems, for the convenience of citizens. The Prime Minister urged bus drivers not to pay any illegal fees on national highways, noting that such fees have impoverished citizens and have not benefited the state.
