Build a Boat and Cross The Atlantic
This a quick tutorial on building a 19ft plywood boat, a Globe 580 and sailing it across the Atlantic. It was a dream of mine for over thirty years and it shows that dreams sometimes can come true. It took great effort, passion, stubbornness and lots of help from family and friends. So my heartfelt thanks to my wife Mary, friends Alan Murray, Roger Smith, Seamus Walsh, Kieran Gormley, Gary Finlay and Thomas O Malley. And a very special thank you to Jimmy Daly of Poolbeg Marina and all the members and staff of Poolbeg Marina, on the river Liffey, the friendliest club in the world.
