Before The Dark Knight, it was almost unthinkable to mention superhero films in the same breath as serious films without receiving mild, disparaging glances. The Dark Knight is a superhero film, but also a flawless thriller, an action-packed summer popcorn blockbuster, and a psychological drama. There's not a single ounce of excess fat in The Dark Knight, from the direction, costumes, cast, acting, to the practical and digital effects and sound design. Everything fits together like Duplo. The Dark Knight is a timeless masterpiece and receives the maximum score of 10/10 from me!
