Many say that building more kilometers of subway would solve all the mobility problems in the City of Buenos Aires. But is that really the case? *Correction: 1.5 million people enter the City of Buenos Aires every day. That's 3 million trips between entering and leaving the City of Buenos Aires. The main stations in the City of Buenos Aires are Retiro, Once, and Constitución. There are 3 in total. The cost of building one kilometer of subway in the City is closer to 140 million dollars, or even more. Not all Metrobus lines cost the same. Projects like the one on 9 de Julio Avenue cost around 10 million dollars per kilometer, while others like the one on La Matanza Avenue can cost 4 or 5 million.
