After Breakfast, I Turned Roast Dinner Into Bibimbap πππ | POV Cooking
Welcome back! This video carries on from where the previous breakfast service ended. About ten minutes after breakfast finished, we move into a small amount of prep before lunch service. This was one of those days where most of the hard work had already been done in advance. I had a few pickled vegetables ready to go, so there wasnβt a huge amount of mise en place to show β just enough to get lunch service moving. For lunch, it was roast dinner day, but I wanted to offer something a bit different alongside the usual roast meats. So I made a Korean-inspired, bibimbap-style rice bowl using rice, pickled carrots, pickled bean sprouts with beetroot, steamed spinach, pickled ginger, and the customerβs choice of roast beef, roast chicken, or roast pork. I also made a gochujang-based sauce using the juices from the slightly pickled vegetables, which brought everything together nicely. It looked absolutely fantastic β even on the simple white plates I was using back then. This was filmed before I started properly narrating what I was making during prep, and before I had the nicer plates I use now, but the food still looked great.
