He now leads a folklore music department at a children art school in Tver, Russia. He is a graduate of composition class of Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music in Moscow. Along with classical music studies Boyarskih showed deep interest in Russian folk music of oral tradition, studied field recordings and sung in Conservatory's Folk Music Ensemble.
