Daily Repentance and New Beginnings
In the evening, when you kneel down and pray for forgiveness, clear your heart, clear your mind, clear your life through repentance, and then get a good night's rest. And then in the morning, you can get up and there is a new day! The sun is coming out again, and you have a new day to live. And when it happens that you might make the same mistakes or you sin again on that day, follow the pattern in Doctrine and Covenants: "Behold, he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more" (Doctrine and Covenants 58:42). That is powerful, that is hopeful. That is one of the most hopeful scriptures I can find! SUBSCRIBE to Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf's YouTube channel for the latest videos. Follow Elder Dieter F.
