I ride from Harrismith to Memel, across the Free State, in South Africa. The day is very windy, there is dust flying everywhere. After a busy morning struggling with a side wind on a tar road, I arrive at a surprisingly beautiful restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The meat is delicious. For the afternoon, I have now tailwind, but I am on a gravel road, a not so good gravel road. After a very long day across the farms of the Free State, I finally arrive in Memel just before sunset, in a very friendly guest house.
