On 25th August 2025, I traveled on 267UP Rawalpindi Passenger from Rawalpindi to Havelian, the last railway station of Pakistan in the mountains. Havelian is a charming city located in the Abbottabad district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, nestled in the scenic Hazara Division. The journey itself was unforgettable. Before departure, I enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the Railway Restaurant of Rawalpindi Station. Once the train began rolling, the real magic unfolded... lush green hills, monsoon-fresh landscapes, flowing riverbeds, and peaceful villages along the route. The Hitachi locomotive added nostalgia to the trip with its unique sounds and classic railway feel. Covering this 3-hour scenic journey, I experienced pure serenity, from chatting with locals on board to watching the rain-soaked countryside pass by.
