Housing hellhole - still riddled with secrets
It is no secret that this Labor government will do everything in its power to keep the Australian public in the dark on housing. The reason for this is obvious, Labor’s housing machine is in disarray, and they don't want people looking too closely. In Senate estimates, I question Housing Australia's new chair on its disastrous governance record. Additionally, Treasury confirmed the price-impact modelling that underpins the Prime Minister’s “0.5%” claim is nothing more than a short email, and they’re still refusing to release it, despite FOI requests and Senate scrutiny. Australians deserve transparency, they deserve clarity, and they deserve results. The Albanese government is doing nothing but dodging and evading. It is clear that they cannot defend their housing record.
