From ignoring an original recipe to struggling with a tiny spatula, it was a delicious mess. The Magic of "Sake Lees": I also shared how to use salted sake lees (fermented rice) — a simple, traditional Japanese ingredient that adds a deep flavor to any meal. A "Perfect" Movie Location: I visited Shosyazan Engyoji Temple, the stunning filming location for The Last Samurai. Watching the film in my van and then seeing the full-bloom cherry blossoms made for a truly "perfect" moment. Life in a tiny van isn't always perfect—sometimes it's cramped, and sometimes the cooking doesn't go as planned—but every small step expands our world.
