Is giving blood good for you? If you tune in, you’ll learn about the many positive effects of giving blood, which include reducing bodily iron stores and hence damage to cellular structures, reducing blood pressure, improving several metabolic health parameters, and offloading hard-to-excrete chemicals. In fact, giving has been associated with a longer lifespan, although it’s hard to determine whether that relationship is causal.
