Hey everyone, After gaining access to our hub, the Eternal Rift, for the first time, we unlock the blacksmith. However, initially we can only craft, reshape, and dismantle accessories and equipment. We gain access to the Eternal Rift after completing the main quest, The Hamamatsu Incident. The starting point is the Maisaka Outpost in Maisaka. From here, just follow me. I won't say much along the way, except for interesting things, so just follow me. We'll find the flame inside the building. Once you've collected Magatama, return to the blacksmith in the Eternal Rift and give her the Flame. This will unlock the Soul Image and Soul Extraction. In the quest "Steel Memory," we need to collect three swords. A quick heads-up: you can only complete this quest after clearing the three barriers. This is because you'll need access to the palace grounds in Heian for the final sword, meaning you'll essentially have to complete the main quest in Act 2. I don't want to spoil anything, so I won't show you exactly what you need to do to clear the barriers for the story quest. Back to "Steel Memory." The first sword is: Sword 1: Dojikiri Yasutsuna | This can be found in Hachijo – near the Nishiichi Shrine, behind this building. Follow me again; you can follow me as usual. Behind the building, you can now collect the sword. Afterward, return to the blacksmith and give it to her. ``` She marks the next sword on your map. Sword 2 is the Mikazuki Munechika | Location in Sagano – at the Matsunoo Taisha Shrine: The large torii gate is closed; you have to go around it. However, you'll be going there anyway during the story, so I'll skip going into detail. You'll pass the door regardless. You're basically coming from there. Now continue uphill and turn left at the bamboo. This leads to the roof of the building. Drop down inside and loot the chest; the sword is inside. Return to the blacksmith, give her the sword, and continue talking to her. She tells you that the last sword is in the palace. As mentioned before, you have to complete the story to access Purgatory in the palace grounds. Do that, and then go to Purgatory. You have to go there anyway to complete Act 2 of the story. Now, continue uphill and turn left at the bamboo. - Sword 3: Odenta Mitsuyo | Location: Palace Grounds: Shomei Gate. You can only access the palace grounds after destroying all barriers (i.e., after completing the story). The palace grounds and the boss here mark the end of Act 2. You don't have to fight the boss, of course. If you're already in Act 3, don't worry, go to the shrine, find the Battle Scrolls, and complete the Frozen City, Burning Tree mission. You'll then be teleported back to Purgatory and can retrieve the sword. So, we start at the Shomei Gate. The boss is on the right, but we'll go straight ahead and then down, turning around and entering the building. Be careful, an enemy will spawn that we have to kill to get the sword. Once the enemy is defeated, you can open the chest containing the Odenta Mitsuyo. I won't show the enemy here. Once we hand in the third and final sword to the blacksmith, we unlock the upgrade option. Have fun forging!
