7.62x39 Galil Ace VS 5.45x39 Galil Ace | Box to Bullseye

Have you ever wanted to compare 5.45x39 to 7.62x39? Most folks haven't even ever heard of 5.45, let alone shot it. It is a fascinating caliber with a lot of potential. Think of it as a smaller brother to the 7.62x39 and much closer to 5.56 NATO. In this ammo crisis 5.45 ammo was easy to find so we decided to take our Galil Ace 5.45 (one of only 545 in existence) and put it up against a tastefully modified 7.62 version. What this comes down to is we were just curious. We wanted to see what the differences were and if the modifications to the 7.62 version made that much of a difference. Short answer: yes, but no.
