DOPO 5 ANNI TORNA A CASA IL VENETO CHE HA GIRATO IL MONDO A PIEDI | 08/09/2025

A3 NEWS Veneto 08/09/2025 - VENICE - After traveling the world on foot, Nicolò Guarrera has arrived in Venice where he was welcomed at Palazzo Balbi. In five years, he has traveled nearly 30,000 kilometers, wearing out 20 pairs of shoes. || Nicolò Guarrera da Malo, known as "Pieroad" to his half-million followers, walks along Fondamenta del Forner in the Dorsoduro district of Venice, accompanied by his trusty cart, nicknamed "Ezio." Regional President Luca Zaia is waiting for him. Five years ago, Nicolò set out from the province of Vicenza, crossed the Po Valley and southern France on foot, entered Spain, and set off from Palos del Frontera (like Christopher Columbus) for the Canary Islands. Then two months of sailing to reach Panama and from there—always on foot—crossing Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Australia, India, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Armenia, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, and finally Italy. The idea was born in a student apartment in Parma, with a couple of goals. Sleeping in a tent or with the many people who hosted him during his journey around the world, Nicolò traveled almost 30,000 kilometers, wearing out 20 pairs of shoes and overcoming some difficult moments. A few days after arriving in Malo, and after traveling the world, his trusty cart "Ezio"—almost aware that its purpose had been fulfilled—decided to lose a wheel just as it entered Palazzo Balbi. For Nicolò, who will now recount his adventure in a book, a trusted friend for five years. - Interviewed NICOLO' GUARRERA (Report by Filippo Fois) - Follow Antenna Tre also on digital terrestrial!
