Gira il mondo a piedi in cinque anni, Nicolò torna a casa: "Mi è mancato cucinare con mia nonna"

Over five years ago, on August 9, 2020, Nicolò Guarrera, 32, set out from Malo, in the province of Vicenza, to fulfill his dream: to walk around the world. Today, after over 36,000 kilometers, Nicolò has made it: after crossing dozens of countries at every latitude, including Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Oceania, a pandemic, and hundreds of encounters, he returned to Italy, passing through Trieste. But since his arrival on Sunday, August 31, he has no longer been alone. Dozens of people have joined him every day, some for days, some for just a single stop, and some for just a few kilometers. We at Fanpage.it joined him during one of the last Italian stops, from Venice to Maerne di Martellago, to walk with him and hear his story. When we asked him if he'd found meaning in his journey, he said, "I found meaning, I don't know if it was a meaning: taking time to do what I liked and, above all, doing it at my own pace. Now the challenge will be to maintain that pace even once I'm down."
