How to Smoke the BEST Salsa
In this week's video we are going to be talking smoked salsa. This is the only way that I will ever make salsa and it might be the only way you will do it after watching this video. When smoking salsa you are adding another depth of flavor by introducing smoke into the dish. Take this to your next party or get together and i promise everyone will love it. Cook Temp: 250° Cook Time: About 30 minutes (just looking for some color on the veggies) What you need: 5 Tomatoes 2 Jalapenos 1 Serrano 1 Onion 5 Cloves Garlic Juice of half a lime About 2 T. Water Cilantro Salt Start by getting your smoker fired up and running at 250°. While your smoker is getting up to temp go ahead and prep the veggies. Quarter the tomatoes and onion, half the peppers long wise, and peel the garlic. Place all the veggies onto a wire cooking sheet. Now take and put the veggies on the smoker, these will go for about 30 minutes, you are looking for some color on the veggies and a little wrinkle of the skin. Once the veggies have the color you like, pull them off. Now you can add them all to a blender. Blend the tomatoes, peppers, onion, and garlic. Then add in the cilantro, lime juice, water, and salt and give the blender a few more spins to blend it all together. I always start by adding a small amount of water at a time until the salsa is the thickness I like. Remember you can always add more but you can't remove it. Once the salsa is the consistency you like then you can just add it to a bowl, grab some chips, and you are ready to eat. Enjoy!! #pelletgrills #pitbossgrills #grilling
