Beëdiging nieuwe ministers ten overstaan van de Koning (2022)

Today, the new cabinet will be sworn in before the King at Noordeinde Palace. The swearing-in ceremony begins with the King signing the Royal Decrees in the Putti Room of Noordeinde Palace. These decrees stipulate the dismissal and appointment of the ministers and state secretaries. All decrees are also countersigned by the Prime Minister. Ministers who are assigned a state secretary also countersign the appointment of the state secretary by Royal Decree. The new ministers and state secretaries will then be sworn in before the King in the Grand Ballroom of Noordeinde Palace. The newly appointed ministers will take an oath or affirmation as prescribed by law. This marks the constitutional moment of the transition to the next cabinet.
