Juan Neyra & Neri Neyra, Escambray, Cuba

Interview with Juan Neyra and Neri Neyra (husband and wife) who detail their experiences before and after communists took over in Cuba. Mr. Neyra's family farm was confiscated, and his brother was killed fighting in Escambray and buried in a common grave. The confiscation story is typical of thousands of small and medium sized business owners. As with thousands of Escambray residents, his family was forcibly removed and relocated to another part of island. This interview was conducted in 2006 in Hialeah.
