Da curiosidade dos jovens cientistas às novas tecnologias quânticas | Prof. Luiz Davidovich

Opening Conference of the ACB Academic Year The Bahia Academy of Sciences begins its academic year with a special conference, aligned with the International Year of Quantum Physics, on March 26th. In partnership with the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, the event will feature physicist Luiz Davidovich, one of Brazil's most respected scientists and former president of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. With the theme "From the curiosity of young scientists to new quantum technologies," the conference will highlight the importance of quantum physics for scientific and technological development. Luiz Davidovich is professor emeritus at the Physics Institute of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a world reference in quantum optics and quantum information. His research covers topics such as quantum decoherence, entanglement, and their applications in quantum computing and high-precision metrology. A PhD from the University of Rochester (USA), he has received numerous honors, including the Grand Cross of the National Order of Scientific Merit and the Physics Prize from the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). 📅 Date: March 26th ⏰ Time: 11:00 AM (Brasilia time) 📍 Location: Auditorium B – Institute of Geosciences, UFBA 🔔 Set a reminder and watch this live conversation with one of the leading names in Brazilian science!
