MMDA Chairman in Divisoria

Recently you’ve seen the MMDA operate in Divisoria a number of times. They've been removing illegally parked vehicles and clearing the sidewalks and roads of vendors and other obstructions.  What you see in my videos is just the end result. There's a lot of planning and coordination that goes into these operations. And ultimately the orders come from the MMDA Chairman, Danny Lim. Today the Chairman visited Juan Luna to inspect results of the clearing operations. When he arrived, the vendors had made a human barricade to try prevent him from entering. Every effort is made to find alternative places for the vendors to operate and to provide any support they need. But make no mistake, the MMDA will stand firm in their mandate to clear the sidewalks and roads.
