Santolan Clearing MMDA

The MMDA TFSO visit Santolan and ticket illegally parked vehicles and remove more obstructions from the sidewalk. One man said the team are unreasonable for removing his posts which were obstructing the sidewalk. But then he also complained about a lack of enforcement in the area. So if there’s no enforcement, you complain. If there’s active enforcement you also complain. The reality is, the MMDA have limited resources that they need to stretch across the whole of Metro Manila. They cannot be everywhere 24/7. That’s exactly why you have Barangay Tanods, Barangay Kagawads, Barangay Enforcers and so on. A lot of what you see the MMDA do everyday can also be done at the local level.
