Japan Sport Association-certified sports doctor. Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1960. Graduated from Juntendo University School of Medicine in 1987. Completed his graduate studies at the university in 1992. After working in the Department of Surgery at the Royal Children's Hospital, University of London, the Trinity Medical Research Center, and the National Children's Hospital of Ireland, he is now a lecturer and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Juntendo University. As a "gut specialist" who opened Japan's first outpatient clinic for constipation, he offers a variety of methods for maintaining a healthy mind and body, including introducing foods and developing stretches that improve intestinal health. At the same time, as a leading researcher in the autonomic nervous system, he is involved in conditioning and performance improvement coaching for professional athletes, artists, and cultural figures. He was active on the track and field teams at Narita High School and Juntendo University. After retiring from racing at the age of 25, he founded a track and field club and focused on developing children. In 2022, he became independent as a lung fitness trainer. He works with Professor Hiroyuki Kobayashi of Juntendo University School of Medicine and Dr. Nobuhiro Suetake, providing training and conditioning instruction for lung activity to athletes ranging from juniors to seniors and top athletes. He is the chief lung activity trainer, head of the Sports Medicine Research and Development Department at Top Athlete Co., Ltd., an AMWA-certified trainer, a certified chief trainer for autonomic nervous system stretching, and a certified health manager.
