Running Along Tokyo’s Most Beautiful Cherry Blossoms | Tamagawa River Sakura Run

This time, I went for a spring run along the Tamagawa River during peak cherry blossom season. Today’s route starts near Gas Bridge and heads toward Denenchofu before returning along the riverside. One of the best things about this area is that the cherry blossoms here often bloom slightly later than those in central Tokyo. Even after the sakura season peaks in places like Shinjuku or Chidorigafuchi, you can still enjoy beautiful cherry blossoms along the Tamagawa. The route combines long riverside paths, peaceful residential streets, local parks, and stunning sakura scenery. Along the way, I also stopped by Sengen Shrine, a local shrine that appeared in the 2016 film Shin Godzilla.
