Running Tokyo’s Famous Yamanote Line | Part 1 (Tokyo to Shinjuku)

Hi there, my fellow runners. In this video, I begin one of my running challenges in Tokyo: running along the famous Yamanote Line. The full loop is too long for a single video, so this is Part 1 of the journey. Starting from Tokyo Station, I run along the northern side of the loop toward Shinjuku, passing through many of Tokyo’s most famous neighborhoods, including Akihabara, Ueno, Ikebukuro, and Shin-okubo. One of the most fascinating things about Tokyo is how quickly the city changes. In just a few kilometers, the scenery shifts from modern business districts to traditional neighborhoods, busy shopping streets, quiet residential areas, and giant entertainment centers. Join me as we explore the many faces of Tokyo on foot. Distance: Approximately 20 km Route: Tokyo Station → Kanda → Akihabara → Ueno → Uguisudani → Nippori → Nishi-nippori → Tabata → Komagome → Sugamo → Otsuka → Ikebukuro → Mejiro → Takadanobaba → Shin-okubo → Shinjuku Part 2 coming soon. One more mile with me. #Tokyo #YamanoteLine #RunningInJapan #TokyoRun #TokyoTravel #JapanTravel #UrbanRunning #RunTheRisingSun
