How to 'age' a cushion for a vintage look (and have a full heart as a midlife single woman)
In this midlife vlog I show you how I distress a cushion to create a vintage, aged feel, plus I travel to Kew Gardens to spend the day with five of my children, their partners and my two grandsons. I also make egg-free mayonnaise (I’ve made it 3 times without disaster, so it must be a good recipe..!) so I feel quite confident about sharing it with you. Ingredients: 3 tbsp aquafaba (from a can of chickpeas) 1 tsp dijon mustard 1 tbsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar One quarter or one half tsp salt 250ml (1 cup) avocado oil 1. Add all ingredients (except the avocado oil) to the smallest processor bowl and whizz up until combined. 2. With the machine running, very slowly pour the oil through the feed tube. Start with just a think trickle for the first minute then once it starts to thicken you can pour in the remaining oil in a slightly steadier stream. 3. Continue processing until l thick and glossy (this takes very little time, maybe a minute) Quick Tip: have all ingredients at room temperature for an easy ride.. This makes around 300ml of mayonnaise. Decant into a jar and keep in the fridge for up to a week.
