In the heart of Corzuela, Chaco, I met a 90-year-old woman who decided to stay forever in the land where she was born. Today she lives alone with her dogs, cooking over a wood fire and surrounded by the memories of a Chaco that barely exists anymore. In this documentary, we explore her home, listen to stories from her childhood, and discover what life was like in the time of her parents and grandparents, when this area was part of an Indigenous colony where settlers were not allowed. Amidst old tales, family memories, and the silences of the forest, stories emerge of land conflicts, clashes between whites and Indigenous communities, and a past marked by blood, pain, and resistance.
