We Didn’t Make It To Hanna Flats…But We Found Something Better.

Our original plan was to spend the morning at Juniper Point… but after arriving, we quickly realized it was packed with Fourth of July crowds. Instead of letting that ruin the day, we kept exploring until we found a quiet little picnic area tucked away in Big Bear. It turned out to be exactly what we needed. There, we cooked breakfast together, slowed down, and sampled one of the coffees we’re developing for Pandas Greatest Adventures—Roasted for Explorers. There’s something special about sharing a warm cup of coffee in the mountains before the adventure begins. After breakfast, we packed up Yukonimus Prime and headed toward the back roads leading to Hanna Flat Campground. Along the way, we explored forest trails, took in the scenery, and simply enjoyed being together. Although we never made it all the way to Hanna Flat, we realized we didn’t need to reach a destination to enjoy the journey. Later in the day, we found a peaceful spot along the lake where we finally deployed the OpenRoad 270 Awning Plus for the very first time, mounted to my newly installed Baseline Overland Roof Rack. After months of planning, building, and dreaming, seeing the complete setup overlooking the water made every late night and every bit of work worth it. We ended our Fourth of July weekend watching the fireworks over Big Bear Lake, grateful for another adventure together and another reminder of what really matters. It was never about how far we traveled. It was about who was sitting beside me. It’s memories, not miles. If you enjoy camping, overlanding, mountain roads, coffee by the campfire, and making memories with the people you love, we’d love to have you join us. Be sure to subscribe and follow along as Yukonimus Prime continues its adventures. See you on the next one.🐼🐿️🏔️🌲🤙🏽
