Blue Velvet Cake - Recipe

Blue velvet cake? There's nothing different about blue velvet cake except it's color which isn't traditional to the popular Red Velvet Cake. Many people are not aware that a velvet cake is simply a lightly chocolate flavored cake that utilizes cooking oil instead of butter, which makes this cake extremely moist. Color does not effect the flavor of the cake, it's only for a different presentation and something different from the common red color found. This cake is perfect for beginners if followed correctly. The frosting used is a buttercream frosting which isn't difficult to prepare either.
