RED VELVET CHEESECAKE CAKE

GRAB MY BOOKS http://www.stovetopkisses.com   / stovetopkisses   link to cream cheese icing    • THE BEST RED VELVET CAKE !!! - HOLIDAY REC...   You will need: 9 inch spring form pans 2 9 inch cake pans whisk measuring cups and spoons hand mixer large bowls parchment paper scissors plastic wrap INGREDIENTS To make the cheesecake : if you would like to Make two cheesecake please double the recipe* 3 blocks soften cream cheese 1 1/2 cups white sugar 2 eggs 1 cup sour cream splash of vanilla extract To make the cake layers: (dry ingredients) 2 1/2 cups cake flour 1/2 tablespoon salt 1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 1/2 cups white sugar Wet ingredients 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil 1 1/4 cups buttermilk ( please do not use cold milk .. you can pre measure this and bring it to room temperature or microwave for 30 secs) 2 eggs 1 tbs vanilla extract 1 1/2 tablespoon red food coloring 1 tsp white vinegar please chill the cake for at least 1 hour before slicing it, to allow the icing to solidify* you can simple place the entire cake in the fridge after icing it.. un covered for 1 -2 hours* Please understand that this cake is rich, but delicious! I would suggest cutting thin - medium size slices lol! if you would like to freeze the leftovers cutting the cake in slices and freezing the individual slices will allow you to simply eat the cake as needed*
