🇰🇷 [4K Virtual Walk] Korea Cherry Blossoms 2026 | Gyeongpo Lake & Gasiyeon Wetland in Gangneung

※I took a stroll along the Gyeongpo Gasiyeon Wetland cherry blossom path, tucked away at the western edge of Gyeongpo Lake in Gangneung, South Korea. While the lake itself is a huge magnet for visitors during the peak of cherry blossom season in early April (and even on a weekday, it was buzzing with people) the Gasiyeon Wetland was a hidden gem. It was so much quieter and more serene, with even fuller cherry blossom trees creating a truly spectacular view. Watching the petals drift down like snow in the breeze was a moment I’ll never forget. The 2026 Gangneung Cherry Blossom Festival runs from April 4th to the 11th, and I filmed this on April 8th to catch them in full bloom. Gangneung is a beautiful coastal city on the East Sea, easily reachable from Seoul via the KTX train. This city has so much to offer; from unique local eats like Oksusu (corn), Chodang soft tofu, and Makguksu (buckwheat noodles) to a vibrant coffee culture, crystal-clear beaches, and stays with endless ocean views.
