Hanal Pixan in Merida, Mexico: Yucatan's Dia de los Muertos Celebration

Consider this an instant replay of the Catrinas Parade in Merida, Mexico. The Day of the Dead celebration in the city lasts for several days. One evening is dedicated to a parade to commemorate Catrinas and Catrines, plus other figures from Mexican folklore. The parade took place on the evening of November 1, 2025. Many of the Dia de los Muertos events pay tribute to Mayan culture. For that reason, the name Hanal Pixán is used here. (This was not planned. I had a video about Mérida just about ready to go, when an external hard drive failed. Capturing clips of the Catrinas Parade was already scheduled, so I just turned that into this week's video. Hopefully, I can rescue footage from the hard drive and be back on track in a week.) Music provided by Epidemic Sound. I am a couple of years into full-time travel. I choose destinations that are located all around the world and show what those places are like from my perspective. I subscribe to the slow travel method and I make all of these journeys by myself. Solo travel can be extremely liberating. I invite you to see the places that I have been. That might give you ideas about where you would like to travel and possibly, areas that you want to avoid. If you are content staying at home, this channel will serve to provide you with a window onto the world. Either way, you will see some amazing sights, every time you click play!
