Anthony Gray - Stars in Our Songs
Winter Speaker Series - November 12th, 2025 Anthony Gray - Stars in Our Songs The talk explores the connection between O'otham songs and celestial objects such as the sun, moon, stars, and other sky phenomena. For the O'otham, songs carry strength, prayers and they are used to honor the cosmos, mark seasonal changes, guide ceremonies, and pass down astronomical knowledge through the generations. This talk will give the audience the perspective of the heavens as seen through an O'otham singer.
