Trams in Vienna are a vital part of the public transport system in Vienna, the capital city of Austria. In operation since 1865, with the completion of a 2 km (1.2 mi) route to industrial estates near Simmering, it reached its maximum extent of 292 km (181.4 mi) in 1942. The system uses an interesting mix of modern low-floor trams, as well as older models from the 1970s, which often are seen with trailer cars. Enjoy!
