A community of Recorders (2026)
A Community of Recorders - Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre (2026) It is with excitement that we are now sharing our recent short film in collaboration with Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre. Rebecca and Martin came to the University of Cumbria with a brief, wanting to celebrate 15 years of the data centre. It was apparent how much the volunteers do for the data of Cumbria and so it was essential for this to be showcased in the film. The story came along during a day of filming at Watch tree in October 2025. Seeing the community, excitement, and expertise of these people was inspiring to us students, and we are so glad to have told this story. This was a shared effort and we thank all involved. Thank you Rebecca and Martin for believing in us to create a real world brief. It was lovely to be able to present the film and receive such lovely feedback. Posted here is the intro to the film, however the full film can be viewed on YouTube with the search 'A community of Recorders (2026)', or by following the link in my bio.
