Rhythm Heaven Megamix Playthrough Part 8
In this part, we go through Star Land, Comet Land, Planet Land, and the Fourth Gate. We also learn some more about what's going on in Heaven World. These are the stages shown in this part: Ninja Bodyguard: 0:02 - This stage plays exactly the same as it did in Rhythm Tengoku. You have to just remember the patterns in which the arrows are fired and alternate between A and the D-Pad to quickly slash them away to protect your lord. Freeze Frame: Successful attempt at 9:00 - This game is back from Rhythm Heaven on the DS. All you have to do is take pictures of the racers as they drive past you. The ones in the yellow karts come in groups and require a few shots to get them all while the ones in carrot race cars zoom by and require a well-timed shot. Launch Party: 11:41 - This game isn't changed at all from its original appearance in Rhythm Heaven Fever. It's extremely simple. You just have to press A to launch the rockets as their counters hit 0. There are four types of rockets with varying speeds. Grey ones start at 1, red ones start at 3, blue ones start at 5, and green ones start at 7. Pajama Party: English version at 15:34 and Japanese version (with Skill Star) at 20:59 - This is a new level introduced to this game. You're just a girl on a bed with a bunch of monkeys. You need to jump in sync with the monkeys to the music along with occasionally tossing your pillow into the air and napping in unison. It's as tooth-decayingly sweet as it sounds. Marching Orders: Japanese version at 24:24 and English version (with Skill Star) at 28:55 - This stage is back from the original Rhythm Tengoku, and again, it plays exactly the same. You have to march in unison with the other soldiers while occasionally turning your head and stopping when the commander says to. That's pretty much it! Munchy Monk: Successful attempt at 35:58 - This stage is back from Rhythm Heaven DS and I REALLY need to apologize for how I did the first few times. I don't know if it's just me, but Munchy Monk feels a LOT slower in this game than it does in the original game. You're a monk and you're REALLY craving some dumplings. For white dumplings, you need to just tap A to eat them, for red dumplings, you have to tap A twice as they always come in groups of two, and for green dumplings, you need to tap A three times in succession. See-Saw: 37:26 - I'm so glad that this stage returned from Fever because it was one of my absolute favorite stages from that game. This stage has Mr. See and Mr. Saw launching themselves off of the see-saw back and forth. You play as Mr. Saw and you have to press A every time he's about to make contact with the inner or outer part of the seesaw. Blue Bear: 41:03 - This is a new stage introduced in Megamix and it's one of my absolute favorite new games. You're a depressed and heartbroken bear that's trying to get his mind off of his problems by eating donuts and cake. You need to press A to eat the donuts soon after they come out of the bag while for cake, you need to wait for a few beats as it gets launched high up into the air. Space Dance: English version at 47:45 and Japanese version at 51:33 - This stage is back from Rhythm Tengoku and it plays exactly the same. You have to pose with the others at the right time. Press right on the D-Pad to pose to the right, down to "sit down", and A to punch. Lockstep: 53:55 - This stage returns from Rhythm Heaven on the DS, and somehow it's even harder here than it was there. I think the timing is a lot more strict in this version of Lockstep. You need to press A to the beat to dance with everybody else, and then double tap and press A to the off-beat of the music when you hear the audio cue. Cheer Readers: Japanese version at 57:46 and English version at 1:02:08 - This stage was originally in Rhythm Heaven Fever, and like a lot of the other returning new stages, there aren't really any changes here. You have to press A to flip your book depending on what's said. There are a LOT of different cues and patterns in this level, but you'll most likely get used to them very quickly. You also need to press B to form pictures with the other Readers. Kitties!: 1:07:30 - This is a new stage introduced in this game. It's so stupid, but it's so amazing at the same time. The game's just about three cats popping up on random parts of the screen and then having to press A twice to clap. You can also spin by holding and releasing B along with an occasional fish that requires you to press A soon after all three cats are about to pounce it. Clap Trap: 1:11:17 - This was actually a mini-game that you could unlock in Rhythm Heaven Fever. You play as a little doll that needs to fend off varying objects that are about to hit him in the head. To do this, you have to clap to stop it right before you get hit. This game may seem confusing at first, but try to imagine a fourth and fifth beat following the tempo of the first three, pressing A on the fifth.
